E. X. Martin is a practicing attorney in Dallas, Texas. He restricts his practice to federal and state criminal cases. He is active in both the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He is a former director of the Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He has spoken at legal seminars in over thirty states on topics such as "Hi-Tech Demonstrative Evidence", "Computer Assisted Legal Research For the Criminal Law Practioner", and "Using Technology To Level The Playing Field". He was the first attorney in Texas to successfully use a computer generated crime scene animation in the trial of a criminal case.
